Promised Land Living honors the life and memory of Thomas Kelly “Tom” Scanlan, beloved husband of our founder, Cheryl Scanlan, and a longtime friend and supporter of the ministry.

For many years, Tom stood alongside Cheryl as Promised Land Living grew from a vision into a ministry that has touched lives and communities around the world. His generosity, encouragement, and steadfast support helped make that work possible. His contribution to the story of Promised Land Living is one for which we will remain deeply grateful.

Tom was also a man of deep faith. In sharing the news of his passing, Cheryl reflected that Tom had “clung to his faith fiercely, especially the last few months.” It is that faith that gives his family—and all who share it—the assurance that death does not have the final word.

We remember Tom with gratitude for the life he lived, the people he loved, the ways he gave, and the legacy he leaves behind. We continue to hold Cheryl and the Scanlan family close in prayer as they carry his memory forward.
